BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination will host their first community fun day event, “An Afternoon with BRAVE,” at BREC’s Howell Park from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013.
Participating law enforcement and service providers will join BRAVE to provide guests with information about the services they have to offer the community. Guests can enjoy free music, food and giveaways such as school supplies, gas cards and more. Police Chief Carl Dabadie, Jr., Project Director Sgt. Herbert Anny and faith-based leaders will be speaking, as well.
The event serves as part of the BRAVE initiative to strengthen the relationship between the community and the BRAVE team, specifically law enforcement and service providers. BRAVE is the central place for the community to turn to for help and services.
Event sponsors include BREC, Baton Rouge Union of Police, Crime Stoppers, ExxonMobil, North Baton Rouge Chemical Industry Task Force and Raising Canes.
